Talempong Pacik - PONGCIKDROID

Talempong Pacik is a traditional musical instrument typical of the Minangkabau people, in the form of a small gong with a pommel made from a mixture of brass, tin and copper which is played by holding it with one hand and making a sound by hitting it using a special stick.
The music game in Talempong Pacik is formed (built) by the rhythmic playing of three rhythmic units through the interlociking (basaua) game technique.PONGCIKDROID is a multimedia product for learning the art of music developed by Buce Fal Frans Zerky, M.Pd at the Department of Arts Education, Postgraduate Program, Yogyakarta State University.The basis for developing this application is because not all secondary schools in West Sumatra have actual talempong, and the average student currently has a smart device (Android based) and the price of one talempong package is not cheap.
So from the background of these problems and potential the PONGCIKDROID application was developed.
,This Pongcikdroid application is an abbreviation of talemPONG paCIK anDROID as a virtual instrument Talempong Pacik as a simulation medium for playing the real Talempong Pacik.
Pongcikdroid was developed to simulate playing Talempong Pacik, not to replace the actual Talempong Pacik, the aim is to provide musical experience for students in general, especially for students in West Sumatra and/or users who want to learn to play or understand Talempong Pacik.
